Plaintiffs brought a claim for the wrongful death of their 16 year old son, who died after being involved in crash while riding his ATV in Jarupa Valley, CA. While Decedent was traveling eastbound through the intersection, the signal for eastbound traffic was phased to red and the signal for traffic traveling northbound phased to green. A truck travelling northbound entered the intersection and struck Decedent's ATV, killing him. Plaintiffs claimed that the truck driver was negligent by failing to yield the right of way to Decedent and for driving under the influence of drugs. The case resolved for Defendant's insurance policy limits.
