about

the case

Plaintiff was driving her work vehicle westbound on Interstate 10 freeway in heavy traffic when the vehicles in front of Plaintiff came to a standstill. Plaintiff brought her vehicle to a stop, and a few seconds later Defendant's vehicle hit the rear of Plaintiff's vehicle. Plaintiff sustained injuries to her neck, back, and right hip. Defendant disputed causation, claiming that Plaintiff's complaints were related to injuries and medical conditions that she sustained prior to the subject incident. Defendant also disputed the nature and extent of Plaintiff’s claimed injuries, as well as the reasonableness and necessity of Plaintiff’s medical treatment.
